- Students and parents should respect the premises and leave the school clean and in good condition.
- Good behaviour and respect for teachers is essential. Respect for other students is also important, as disruptive behaviour can prevent others from learning.
- The Music Academy reserve the right to refuse re-enrolment if a student or parent is continually disruptive, causes damage to the school premises / equipment, or puts the safety of themselves or others at risk. Serious offenders could be at risk of losing their place at the school and / or term fees paid.

Subsequent to this if there is no improvement in behaviour, the school shall have the right to impose an appropriate penalty.
- Families in attendance should follow our COVID policies which will react to the current guidelines and requirements of Sain Laurence's NS
- Payment must be made in advance of lessons commencing. It is preferable that payment be made for the whole term but can also be made in instalments.
- If a teacher is absent, a substitute teacher will be appointed to teach the lesson. If cover for the lesson cannot be provided, the lesson will be rescheduled or refunded.
- We understand that students may occasionally miss lessons/classes due to sickness or other circumstances. If a student misses a class they are not entitled to a refund for that class as the teacher’s time is booked for that time for the whole term, and the teacher will be at the school for the designated time of the class whether the student is or not. As the school only operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at St Laurence's NS Junior Building, teacher availability to make up missed lessons/classes is limited. Wherever possible teachers will offer catchups, however this is not guaranteed, and lessons/classes will not be refunded.
- We request that students be dropped off and picked up promptly before and after their lessons. The Music Academy are unable to supervise, mind or take responsibility for students outside of lesson times.

- Long-haul travel: This is a special condition for families who have moved to Ireland from other countries and are visiting home during term time. To protect the teacher’s income, we cannot negotiate a full reduction for these classes. As a compromise, teachers will accept a reduced rate during these instances and The Music Academy will forgo any admin / rent charge. will be charged at half the class rate for the weeks of their absence, once agreed in advance, to secure their time slot with their teacher for the term. This is not applicable for leisure travel
- Long term absences due to injury / serious illness: If a student cannot complete the term due to a serious injury / illness, we will adjust fees or refund accordingly. A doctor’s cert may be required.
